Unless we are Siamese twins, each one of us has a unique face cut and body shape. The way you choose your accessories has a lot to do with your face and body type. A little care can go a long way to enhance the way you look, complimenting your face and figure. And a little carelessness can actually compel people to notice the wrong feature making you seem shorter than you actually are or longer than the poles height!

Face shapes are generally grouped as oval, rectangle, round, square and heart-shaped. To determine your face shape, pull your hair back so, it is completely off your face. Stand in front of a mirror and look straight into it. FYI: A heart shape face is the one with a broad forehead and a narrowing chin.

Now, let us begin from the top-most accessory, Earrings.

The size of the earrings is very important while figuring out the statement you want to make to the world. The larger the earrings, the more noticeable they will be and could bring out your most fantastic features or point out your ugliest flaws! Earrings should be chosen carefully as they are probably the most important and noticable.

Coming to the shapes, individuals with an oval face shape can wear any style, while other people should look for styles that contrast their face. Selecting a hoop or button style for a round face would only emphasize the roundness. Square or long shapes will de-emphasize a round face. The same is true with other face shapes; a long, rectangular face should stay away from long, straight earrings and choose wide earrings. Square faces need the softness of round or hoop earrings and heart shaped faces are complimented with triangular shapes with a wide base that contrasts a narrow chin.

After considering your face shape, you need to consider your height and body type. If you are less than 54" tall, your earrings should be styles that sweep up and pull the viewers eye up. Full figured petite women look good in earrings that have sharp geometric shapes. If you are 54" - 57", youre a lucky girl! Your earring choices are unlimited. Any earring length works well with this height. If you are over 57", there is normally lots of space between your ear lobe and shoulder and thus, long dangle earrings will be flattering on you. You can also wear any shape earrings, but avoid the small, tiny button ones. These may look lost on you!
